Alex Zimmermann exemplifies 20 years of expertise in finance management
LIMA, PERU, May 13, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Alex Zimmermann, Vice President of Compliance and Control at Scotiabank Peru, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in financial services.
Drawing on more than 20 years of professional experience, Alex Zimmermann serves as the vice president of compliance and control at Scotiabank in Peru. His expertise includes finance, compliance, investments and risk management. On a daily basis, he adheres to regulatory banking compliance and supervises market risk and operational risk management, as well as the implementation of Basel II in Scotiabank Peru.
Mr. Zimmermann earned a Master of Business Administration from Katholieke Universiteit Leuven in Belgium in 1989 and a Bachelor of Science in economics from the Universidad del Pacifico in 1985. He acquired his position with Scotiabank after gaining a thorough background in finance. Currently, he serves as a board member of the Club de Regatas Lima and is an affiliate and member of the Advisory Council of the International Sunfish Class Association and the Panathlon Club of Lima. He is also benefactor of the Art Museum of Lima ("Mali"), the scholarship program of Universidad del Pacifico ("UP Solidario") and the Asociacion Enlace Solidario.
