Reverend Veronica Matthews Recognized for 30 Years of Excellence in the Finance Industry

While growing up in the southernmost Caribbean island of Trinidad, the Rev. Veronica Matthews dreamed of one day moving to the United States to pursue a career in corporate America. Through her diligence and mother's support, she has fulfilled this dream. Rev. Matthews, a 30-year veteran of the banking industry, and currently serves as the assistant vice president of Bank of New York Mellon Corporation, where she oversees daily operations, including 26 employees and human resource issues.

In addition to servicing the finance industry, the Rev. Matthews also devotes her time to overseeing First Mary Magdalene Temple Of Faith, as president. A licensed minister in the state of New York, she enjoys working with children and ensuring their growth and development. Drawing on this interest, she intends to launch a ministry focusing on the spiritual education of youth in the approaching years.
