What should CFOs make other executives in the organization aware of?

Kristi Matus: All executives need to have a base understanding of the company's financial statement. This consists of the balance sheet, the income statement, the cash flow and how all of these pieces fit together. If you teach executives the basic knowledge of how the company works, they will understand how the company makes money, and what makes the company successful. It is important for them to know all this, as it is not only the finance community that makes future decisions for the company, but also the staff, operations and marketing executives. We want to make sure our employees have the best possible knowledge of how they will impact the future success of our company.
