ING DIRECT- Hawaii has recently announced the selection of Honolulu and Maui-based, Arita-Poulson as general contractor and Honolulu-based, AM Partners, Inc. as the interior design firm for ING DIRECT's newest location in Waikiki.


/Financial News Articles/ - HONOLULU, HI, June 11, 2008 - ING DIRECT- Hawaii has recently announced the selection of Honolulu and Maui-based, Arita-Poulson as general contractor for ING DIRECT's newest location in Waikiki. "Arita-Poulson demonstrated the highest sense of urgency and responsiveness to ensure the completion of the construction in time to allow ING DIRECT to open the Caf in late September," said Cleo Brown, Head of Hawaii Operations for ING DIRECT.

ING DIRECT-Hawaii will occupy the distinctive building at the beginning of Waikiki, located at 1958 Kalakaua Avenue. "It is ideally positioned to be become one of Oahu's newer gathering places," said Cleo Brown. The new location will feature a full-service Caf and retail shop, where customers will be able to get a great cup of locally, grown coffee, purchase items from local vendors and learn about ING DIRECT's strategies for saving. "The design is very unique. It's an island-influenced concept mixed with modern design motifs," said Daryl Arita, Owner and Manager of Arita-Poulson.

Known for being a fun and innovative direct bank, ING DIRECT-Hawaii chose AM Partners, Inc., as the interior design firm for the Caf . The award-winning, Honolulu-based firm was selected for their unique design style and creativity. "ING DIRECT has a strong commitment to design and quality, which is represented in all of their Caf s," said David Ayer, Principal Architect for AM Partners Inc. "The Caf is being designed to thematically tie ING DIRECT concepts into Hawaiian elements. This will be an interesting venue that will be unique to Hawaii."
